I am running windows 10 1709 OS Build 16299.251. I keep getting a critical error about a missing python.exe.  I do not know what this is or why I need it or how to get it back. Please can someone help me. I am a dummy, just so you know. Thank you.

    Hi Shannon,

Python.exe is an application used by programmers to create software. It is also used by some applications for it to function properly. To have a better understanding regarding your Python concern, we'd like to ask a few questions:

    • When are you getting this error message?
    • Are you getting this error message when running a specific app?
    • Have you made any recent changes like installing apps, or updates?
    • Can you provide us a screenshot or the complete error message?

If this error prompts you during start up, we recommend that you perform a clean boot on the device. This will allow us to isolate which application is causing this error, if this is caused by an app running on your device. The instructions are provided on this link. It also includes instructions on how to boot back to normal mode after you're done performing the clean boot.

We'll be waiting for your response.
