My Logitech M650 has been working fine since I bought it a few years ago. In the last few days, it keeps disconnecting. I push the connect button on the mouse, a message appears on the screen saying the mouse has been discovered, followed by another message saying it can't be connected. I tried the system settings to add a device, and pretty much the same thing happens. Sometimes, if I restart, the mouse can be connected again, but not always. I deleted and reinstalled the Logitech software, checked for Windows updates (it says everything is current).

A possibly related problem is that I keep getting a message asking if a numeric code is displayed on my iPhone. The phone connects automatically with no problems, so I'm not sure why the computer is trying to connect to my iPhone.

Both problems started appearing at the same time, within the last week.

Hello! There might be a problem with the Bluetooth driver. Please reinstall it.

  1. When starting Windows, search for "Device Manager" in the search bar > Click on the icon > Expand the "Bluetooth" tab.
  2. Right-click the first Bluetooth device > Select "Uninstall device" > Check "Try to remove this device’s driver" (if any) > Confirm > Repeat this step with all Bluetooth devices in the "Bluetooth" tab.
  3. Restart the computed > Open System Configuration > Click ''Update and security' > ''Windows Update'' > ''Check for updates''.
  4. Download all available updates. Click on the ''Show optional updates'' option (marked in blue) if you have > Select all drivers > Click 'Download and Install'.
  5. Restart the computer > See if the problem persists.
  • If the problem persists, send me the manufacturer and model of your laptop, motherboard or Bluetooth adapter.
  • Press WINODWS + R > Type "msinfo32" > In System Summary, send me a screenshot.
