Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy
Hi DAVE GOOD
I understand how upsetting this situation must be, especially when the OneDrive contents include irreplaceable family photos and memories.
Please kindly note that this is a public community forum, I do not have the ability, tools to unblock, recover accounts or bypass security. Only Microsoft’s official recovery process can restore access.
To better assist you, could you please let me know:
- Can you still see any of the recovery email addresses or phone numbers offered during sign-in?
- Do you receive any specific error message when attempting to access the account?
- Did the account recently have its password, recovery email, or security information changed without your permission?
Since this is a personal Microsoft account, access to OneDrive depends on recovering access to the Microsoft account first. If you can still sign in anywhere, for example on another browser, device, OneDrive app, Office app, or Windows device, please use that session immediately to secure the account and update the password/security info.
If you cannot sign in at all, please follow the official hacked account guide: How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account
If you need to submit the recovery form again, please focus on providing information related to services you actually used with the account:
- Go to: https://account.live.com/acsr
- Enter your hacked email and an alternate email where Microsoft can contact you.
- Provide as many accurate details as possible, such as old passwords any older email details you may still remember and submit from a familiar device/location.
- Wait 24–72 hours for a response. You may refine and resubmit up to twice per day.
- Please see this official guide to help you fill out the form more accurately: Help with the Microsoft account recovery form - Microsoft Support
I understand this is very upsetting. The best chance is to focus on recovering the Microsoft account first, then check OneDrive recovery options as soon as access is restored. Thank you so much for your understanding!
