Title: Microsoft account recovery investigation - account locked after suspicious activity review

Hello,

I am currently trying to recover my Microsoft account after losing access to it. I have already contacted Microsoft Support, and my case has been escalated to the Microsoft account recovery team.

The account was initially locked due to suspicious activity. After I requested a review to try to restore access, the account was later listed as being locked for:

Policy violated: Abuse of our Platform and Services

I am trying to recover the account and understand what happened, as I believe I am the rightful owner and I do not know what activity caused this enforcement.

The recovery team has requested additional information to verify ownership, including:

Previous recovery emails/phone numbers

Email contacts and sent email subjects

Account history details

Billing/purchase information

Xbox information

Previously used devices

I have provided the information I know through the official Microsoft Support email, but I am looking for advice on whether there is anything else I can provide to help verify ownership or improve my chances of recovery.

I have attached screenshots showing my communication with Microsoft Support (with private information hidden).

Thank you for any advice or guidance.

    Hello matteo holsinger,

I understand how concerning this is, especially after you have already provided detailed information to verify ownership.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access your account, review the information you submitted, verify ownership, or influence the recovery team’s decision.

Since your case has already been escalated, the best course is to continue through the same support email or case. The information requested, including previous recovery details, email contacts and subjects, billing records, Xbox information, and previously used devices, is the relevant evidence for their review. Provide only information you are certain is accurate, and do not share any of it publicly.

If you need an update or further clarification, contact Microsoft Support again and provide your existing case number. Ask whether any specific information is still missing rather than opening a duplicate request, as additional requests may slow the review.

I hope the recovery team can complete the review and provide a clear outcome.
