Dear Support Team,

I have two Microsoft 2019 Mac Home business licenses that were legally purchased and are linked to my Microsoft account. However, I can no longer use them.

The installer file Microsoft_365_and_Office_16.78.23102801_BusinessPro_Installer.pkg is no longer available. As a result, after installing Office, I am unable to connect the installation to my Microsoft account and activate my existing licenses.

Please provide the required installer file or an alternative solution that will allow me to use the licenses I have already purchased.

I do not intend to purchase any additional software, as I already own valid licenses and simply need a way to reinstall and activate them.

Thank you for your assistance. I look forward to your prompt response.

Kind regards,

    Hi

Thanks for Answer. **I can't believe the licenses I was using just a couple of days ago are no longer valid.**I attempted to follow the instructions, and here's what happened.

    No license found

No license was found for Purchase Microsoft 365 for this account, or use a different account to activate Microsoft 365 if you have already purchased it.

    Buy Microsoft 365

    Use another account

Unfortunately, the 2019 software is not installable on versions of macOS from Ventura on. You can only install Office 2021 or Office 2024 under the 4 most recent versions of macOS. You'll have to buy a new version of Office 2024 with Outlook or without Outlook, or subscribe to Microsoft 365 to get Office on your computer. You can use Word for the web for free, though it is less capable than the desktop software.

Previously, I would have mentioned that 2019 could be installed under Monterey or earlier, but Microsoft has declined to renew a key certificate, so Office 2019 is now View Only on older Mac operating systems.

    Hi, u n

Your licenses have not disappeared. The problem is usually that the current Office installer installs a newer build that does not accept Office 2019 licensing. Version 16.78 was the final build supporting Office 2019 for Mac.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Remove the currently installed Office apps from Finder > Applications. Do not reinstall them from the Mac App Store, because App Store versions cannot use Office 2019 one-time licenses.

Download the official Office 2019 for Mac installer directly from Microsoft. The package name does not need to match the old 16.78.23102801 filename exactly.

Install it, open Word, select Sign in, and use the Microsoft account showing both licenses under Services & subscriptions. If asked, choose an unused Office 2019 license from the list.

If activation still fails, run the official License Removal Tool, restart the Mac, then sign in again.

Office 2019 is no longer supported or receiving security updates, but the existing license can still be used.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
