Landline can't accept codes for login. Unable to change personal info without login. 3mth security lock out. 3 x 30days.

I moved house, purchased a new mobile and a new laptop and I don't have the original landline number I registered with MS.

When I try to login, MS tries to send a code thru the landline - I can't get the code thru a landline!

So it lock me out for another 30 days.

I'm on my third month, trying to get in to my account to change the security info and where I am now is the furthest I've got to contacting someone.

I have chosen alternative methods when trying to login but the same result each time.

MS allowed me change my password and tells me I don't have a telephone number on the account, yet is shows it partially when trying to login, which is my old landline number.

Some help would be really appreciated here.....

Thank you in advance - to anyone 😊

Hello, I’m Virginia a fellow Windows user.

Please note we’re just other Windows user here & not Microsoft & they have a clear policy on account recovery with 2fa.

Unfortunately it isn’t good news, Microsoft cannot help with 2 factor authentication problems as they have no access to reset this so your only option is to use the recovery/backup code shown during 2fa set up, if you do not have this then is there any other recovery option set on the account - email address, Authenticator app?

    A long shot:

If none of these work then the only option is to set up a new account & request Microsoft move any subscriptions &/or purchases over to the new account.
